i'm bringing waxy back.

so i went to southern california with ben's
this last weekend to visit his family (well,
actually just a small percentage of his family!).
we had so much fun! i had never
been to the los angeles area before, and i loved
it all: visiting with ben's parents and sister,
so many good things to see, and just being
able to spy around a little where ben grew up.

...

on saturday we trafficked (literally. la traffic!)
out to hollywood. so many things to see!
i just love to watch and look, you know?
so of course colorful hollywood provided lots
to look and look and look at.

...

speaking of looking, ben, eva, and i
took a little trip into THIS PLACE:

have you ever been here??? a hilarious
wax museum!! life-size replicas
of...well...you'll see:

me and the
cloonster.

 brad and angie
didn't look
that real.

will looked real.

 ^love this little sassafrass^

how funny are these?!
more pictures:

james was a
bit short.
it was okay
with me.

charlie was a bit tall.

audrey. great.

*sigh*

i wish i could
put up all
of these!
you can see
the full experience
on me facebook.

gleeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

ben is taller!

they played sound clips and music clips behind a lot
of these guys. it was funny to see who was really
short in real life, who was actually kind of tall,
etc. it was all just in good fun. and it was funny.
of course.

2-4 2-4 2-4 2-4

we've recently
been celebrating
cute
ben's
birthday around
here!
he's so good,
he really deserved
all the loving
he got for
his birthday.
tuesday night
many dear ones
joined us
for dinner
at that
perennial
favorite,
brick oven:

 they had ben
stand on his
chair and
sang "happy
birthday"
to him.
he loved.
AND he
loved his
free birthday
cake:

the next night
we had a
quieter
celebracion
at my place.
abe and jared
and hannah were
there, as were
our perennial
(it's like the word
of the day!)
friends Cake
and Ice Cream:

 for some reason,
ben and i
have been
SO INTO
red velvet cake
lately.
so that's what
we had!
 concentratin'.
singing happy
birthday.

happy birthday
ben!
you're just great!

...
and i love you.

lovers of loving love!

what a nice
valentines day.
woke up,
showered,
and came
into my room
only to find
a dozen roses
and a box
full of
Reeses hearts
(to know me
is to know
these are my
favorite)
and lotions
on my
made bed
(to know me
is to know
i never make
my bed...
sorry?).

three guesses
as to who
all this
cuteness was from:
1. jimmer fredette.
2. christian bale.
3. benjamino frandsen.

did you know:
today is the
very first time
i've actually
been in a
relationship on
valentines day!
it just so
happens that
every other
time val. day
came around
homegirl here
was flying
solo.

however, despite
classes and
thingslikework
continually
being thrown
at us,
ye old fiance
(yes, the
answer was
3. benjamino
frandsen.
jimmer and
i haven't
talked in
weeks,
and despite the
rumors, i only
met christian
once)
and i
found ways
to make today
special.

whether it was
sneaking pictures
during homework
in the
computer lab:
(well, more like
me sitting
next to a
stalker...
ooh.
i meant ben,
not the guy
behind me)
,

or being
goofy
driving home
after fiance
picked me
up from school:

(just to reassure
faithful readers
[if there are
any :,( ],
yes, these
were
taken at a
stoplight)
,
we had a
fun day...

...but nighttime
was when the
real fun
began!

naturally we
started out
with a short
trip into
borders
bookstore...
because
i
love
books.
(SO
disappointed
to find out
you can't do
wedding
registry
there).

 fiancee loves
her some
kurt vonnegut!...
...fiance loves
him some
nicholas
sparks!

then we
headed over
to
tucanos,
where
fiance had made
reservations.
what with
their
brazilian
lemonades,
full to bursting
salad bar,
free birthday
meal
(thank you,
february 23rd
born
fiance!)
and keeping-it
-coming meat,
tucanos is
one of those
reasons
why provo
is a
niceplacetolive.

 ^^green side up:
bring more meat!

 lemonade flavors ordered:
lime, passion fruit, mango, strawberry.

tucanos
was very nice
and gave us
a white rose
(well, they
gave it to
me, but as
evidenced above,
someone
took a liking
to it...!)
and chocolate
covered
strawberries,
which are
officially
THE
best dessert
in
the
world!

hope you had
a nice
valentines day!
as for us,
we're moving
to brazil
in the hopes
that there
will be a
tucanos
on every corner.
xoxo.
