rocke-fellahs.

tonight husband & i made a decision. & i feel
pretty comfortable saying it was one of the best
decisions we've made in recent years.
& that best decision was to rain check a movie
on third avenue in favor of scooting on down
to rockefeller center & check out all the sparkly
spectacle. everything about this night made us
THAT MUCH MORE EXCITED FOR A
CERTAIN UPCOMING HOLIDAY.

for starters...the tree! couldn't get enough
photo loving of this tricked-out tannenbaum.

& the great fountain + ice-skating rink
duo happening right beneath the tree:

they cleared everyone off the ice & then
we saw someone propose! the audience,
as you can imagine, went bananas:

it was around this time of the evening that we
realized our love for the rockefeller building,
also known as the GE building, also known as
30 rockefeller plaza, also known as 30 rock!

the building in all its
1930's/art deco/atlas
shrugged glory.

...can i mention again how pretty all the lights were?

other gem-like images from the night:

soldiers:

window displays:

the nearness of radio city music hall:

& our little rockefeller treats:

...did i already mention that heading to rockefeller
square was one of the best decisions we've
made in  recent years?
:)
