galleria magnifico, part 2.

more photos of cool places around the citayyy (see galleria magnifico post the first HERE)

this pretty thing is currently at the david zwirner gallery

doug wheeler's light and space exhibit was absolutely gorgeous. one of the most beautiful exhibits i've ever been to. also please notice my SHOE PROTECTORS that do nothing but greatly add to the beauty of the exhibit, like, what can i say? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

these pretty palms were at the other david zwirner location:

little gallery girl, making her way through this chelsea gallery like she owns the joint:

the greys & whites of norah's outfit fit into the color scheme of the space SO perfectly that i'm not 100% sure i didn't travel back in time to the night before to visit myself in my sleep & whisper in my ear "dress norah in grey & white" enough times that i ended up not only dreaming about it but proceeding to dress norah in grey and white the next morning for unexplainable yet weirdly familiar reasons.

i love that she crawls around with a smile on her face:

always on the move:

what gallery was this? i can't remember:

some great jeff koons at the gagosian:

^^ spot my reflection?? ^^

sorry that she continues to remain the only unclothed one in this photo, despite my presence. sorry, sistah #solidarity

more articles on this exhibit here & here.

& smack mellon does it again!

look at these gorgeous columns of light!! & up close you realize it's a series of photos:

norah explorin (i just want to give that little exposed spot of her neck a smooch!)

also at smack mellon, in the back room:

but maybe don't look at these photos if you suspect you suffer from trypophobia???

norah was in complete awe, as you can see:

norah's all, "praise!!"

she also kept wanting to touch the installation, so...

& in conclusion i don't even remember the name of this gallery--we didn't end up going in, but we (corinne & i) saw this stairway from the street & simultaneously stopped & stared at it before being like, "let's take a quick photo!"

galleria magnifico, part 1.

there's such a wealth of amazing galleries & museums at one's fingertips when one lives in new york city. it's actually really overwhelming?? like i feel like even if i did nothing but spend all my time visiting these places tat are bursting with creativity, i still wouldn't have even scratched the surface of all this city has to offer. anyway, mucho thanks to corinne for letting me tag along with her on her adventures in fomofeed. we've done so much lately that i wanted to gather all of the cool spots in one place (which, make that two places, because i ended up having to be break this into two posts, because there are hella photos & i didn't want us all to be scrolling for hours).

inside & outside the museum of the moving image:

that crazy white astro turf!

more twinning:

(norah's bunny hat!!!!1!!)

there's a tiny movie theater inside the museum that is SO kitschy & funny. here's the concession stand in its lobby:

if you look closely you can spot norah's little pink converse (which are still just a bit too big for her):

for some reason i LOVE norah's face in this one. plus that turtleneck she's wearing is giving me life!

but it's so, so cool, right?

look at those gigantic binder clips!

but look at the things! ALL OF THE THINGS!

this really awesome exhibit at the bortolami gallery:

i still maintain that i really should have combed my hair that day:

and OMG SMACK MELLON (yes that's the name of the gallery). laser circles projected onto bunches & bunches of tulle hanging from the walls & ceiling (does this link work??). what i'm trying to say is IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE A BAD PHOTO & THESE NEXT MILLION PHOTOS DEMONSTRATE THAT:

i feel weird saying this about a photo that i myself am in, but this next one is just a really cool, gorgeous photo. that eerie, mysterious lighting! check it:

so, hollywood is to racism as the children's museum of manhattan is to germs: it's a pretty widespread pandemic, while it tries to appear on the outside like it's not there you know it totally is, & the problem is general & systemic & not centralized to one specific area. but norah has fun at cmom anyway (& afterwards we always make sure to wash hands lots)

colorful, artistic squiggles at the joshua liner gallery:

more gallery photos to come! thanks for playing!
