everything in life about baby.

here we are again with a few updates from life lately. i'm still feeling SO behind on keeping up with the blog. right when i think i'm getting caught up, i remember that i haven't posted about THIS yet, or THAT yet, or THIS OTHER TIME & i'm like "aaahhhh!!"

but look at how bored norah is doing story time! she was over mike mulligan. i was cracking up.

this little nugget tagged along when i grabbed lunch with a friend during restaurant week:

& look at just how sweet she is in this grey dress made entirely out of sweatshirt material! coziest dress ever:

tickling the ivory:

just look how cute ben & norah are. & how they're basically twins in this picture:

now that the days are getting warmer, norah's wearing her sheep hat less & i miss it fiercely:

norah zoned out at all the city scenes zooming by our cab:

speaking of hats, check out this checked one:

the way those ear flaps frame her face!! i'm almost hyperventilating from all the preciousness:

& here's a snapshot from one early morning, when we all found ourselves cuddling out on the couch:

sweet, happy norah!

ah yes, & here i am taking norah for a walk so that ben could sneak in a few minutes of homework time:

oh haayyyyyyyyy cute girl in the bath!

ben, post-exercise, reading to norah, pre-sleep:

we may not look much alike, but i won't let another moment escape without teaching norah all of my great face-making ways. anything less would be shirking my duties & responsibilities as a mother!:

norah's favorite place in the world might be our bed:

cuddliest little corner in the house:

norah flashing some serious (&, in her opinion, pretty confusing) heart eye glasses at a little valentine's day party we attended:

ben & i ate at the **best** japanese barbecue place a little over a month ago. the sort of place where you have your own tiny little grill right in the middle of the table. we just gorged ourselves for like two hours on thick cuts of meat & grilled vegetables & all these other delicious things. we're still talking about that dinner, & alas, this crappy snapchat picture doesn't do the place justice at all:

cozy hats for one & all!

visiting the cooper hewitt design museum on the.........

meeting up with ben during the day for lunch at restaurants around columbia is always fun, but almost even more exciting than that is eating the delicious food at said lunch places:

check norah in this darling little outfit. high socks might be my most favorite look on her:

another great look on norah? this puff ball hat of mine she rocked one afternoon:

& now here she is, rocking look #2:

the fuzzy penguin onesie completes these looks:

i love this next series of three photos of norah in my trapper hat. her face is just so delicate at sweet. I AM SORRY THERE ARE SO MANY PHOTOS OF NORAH IN THIS POST (& ALL OVER THIS ENTIRE BLOG, REALLY) & IF YOU'RE STILL READING I AM IMPRESSED/WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN REALLY FEEL FREE TO SKIP THE REST OF THIS POST

ahhh look, norah chilling on our bed again. no surprise there :)

i randomly remember that this photo was taken on a particularly cold day:

aaaaaaand i'll close with a recent favorite photo of ben & i <3 <3 <3

galleria magnifico, part 3.

more wonderful trips to galleries about town:

took my love & my babe back to smack mellon, which you & i & all the folks everywhere last saw on the blog here:

& a date night moment ben & i had a few weeks ago. not much better than the new whitney + dinner (not pictured, because who wants to see pictures of our food?! no one. that's who):

i'm so glad we made it to the whitney in time to see the gorgeous, amazing frank stella exhibit:

stellaaaaaaaaa

plus i was going nuts over these gorgeous lights in the stairwell:

super nintendo dreams all come to life:

right??? i want that rainbow to be in my life forever:

wall love:

flashy, sparkly, beautiful:

look at those liiiiiights

norah contemplating windows, buildings, & general urbanity at the moma:

(all while being warm & cozy in her snowsuit, of course)
(& rocking the one pair of shoes she owns, because man, kid's shoes are ex-pen-sive & those little feet grow so fast!)

moma also serving up some trompe-l'oeil stair realism:

& feeling some serious #housegoals at the morgan library & museum:

OH AND #LIBRARYGOALS TOO:

not gonna lie, ben, you took one gorgeous photo here. but then again--it seems like it would be almost impossible to take a bad photo in such a pretty place:
