sunday night update.

watching

image

i just watched the BBC miniseries tess of the d'urbervilles & WOW was i put through the emotional wringer. the last time i read the book was years ago, so i had forgotten some of the finer points of the novel that pushed it into TRULY depressing territory, but i was reminded of alllll of that heartbreak again as i was watching. gemma arterton is just insanely, out-of-this-world gorgeous, like the most natural beauty ever to exist. & while i normally don't have a problem with eddie redmayne, i dunno, he was a little too thin & dweeby in this. plus, when i was telling a friend of mine earlier this week that i was planning on watching tess over the weekend, she was like, "when he runs across the field it is soooooo bad. you'll KNOW the part i'm talking about." & i did.

byeeee downton abbey.
